Ok boys and girls just wanna do a quick update on our upcoming gig, Aggression Please! which is at this coming Saturday (19th August 2006). Yesterday most of the bands already had gone to the meeting and mostly likely the presale tickets should be well distributed among the bands. The presale tickets are going for $2 each, so if you wanna get yours at that price please do look for the bands that are performing in the gig. Or you can just contact these following people;

so the rumour mill has been working overtime.

lets get it straight. im very closely affiliated to the owner of IJ as some of you are too, and might know.

IJ studios is temporarily suspended, yes. why? on 11 June there was a show called METALCORE vs PUNKROCK and there was a case of bullying and an eventual fight. there has been a few scuffles at shows there yes but that one took the cake because
1) when volunteers come down to 'jaga' IJ in case of trouble nothing happens, but on that day when all the volunteers were busy shit had to happen
2) apparently a fight , of which i only have second-hand info of, took place and was caught on the building CCTV. IJ owner, "Abang Wan", the management and the cops were called in.

cops locked the place up and the venue will remain sealed until the case is settled. as a result, Wan has been smacked with a $300 fine due to the crap that happened. fights, vandalism (which fucker burnt the washing machine anyway?), dustbins thrown to the first level, blah blah.

i am fucking pissed off. because i have always encouraged and advised people to take care of the space and be responsible whether yr an organizer, band or paying member of the audience.

i was surprised to know that all the footage of kids playing with the industrial lift, drinking, loitering, smoking in the common area fell under the NO PROBLEM category. that shows that building management has been very lenient with us. so if they had to shut the space down it means things went too far right?

so promoters/bands/people reading this, please take note. IJ Studios, or any other gig space, is not only Wan's responsibility, its mine and it is yours. the space has been abused and Wan has to take the shit for it. is it fair? you tell me.

i have also heard a lot of rumours about bastards accusing Wan of running away with gig money and all that. thats a load of utter crap. me and my friends have done shows and recording sessions many many times there before and he has never been calculative about money. yes it is hot as fuck there and yes equipment fucks up time to time but i have never been happier with a space as cheap, lenient and understanding to the scene as IJ.

people had better sit up and take notice and do something and get some sense knocked into their heads. for once i refuse to blame the cops for any problems should (choy choy) the space be shut down, because the roots of the problem are all down to our own idiocy.

11 June is not a one off problem. shit has happened many many times. there was even a time where the security guard was almost beaten up by a 'fashioncore kid'. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!

punks thrashers hc kids come down in droves at every show and as 'threatening' as they look there has been no problems at all.

i could list down names that have been 'paotoh-ed' that has led to this shit. you people better wake up your idea because if the space shuts down, you fuckers have a lot to answer for.

spread this all around on your kiddy forums and e-groups, i dont give a shit. lets solve this problem before it becomes a permanent predicament.

this it the most sensible thing ive ever seen. and im glad its going around myspace bulletin posts.

No more IJ studio here.

From Wan IJ himself. He will moved there till eternity.

Once, IJ Studio is one of the few studios in Singapore where Extreme Metal, especially BM can be recorded. Now, there are a dozen around. There is no use staying in Singapore with the expensive rent that he could use to pay for 2 months rent in JB.

IJ Studio has always and will always be the place where Extreme Metallers gather once and have their materials rekorded, now its infested with full of HC, Emo, Indie skumz

But no worries... Joes got a msg from Wan himself saying that I.J is not closing and there will be one more studio opening at Johor at Skudai.....

So BlooDy take care of I.J studios........

Orite Guys...... The gig punkrock versus metal was a bloody blast....

It all happens when we Joe and Syed (organisers)wen there around 11 plus..... Syed Go chase by a dog... Hehe... It was very funnie.... After The setup was done... We chilled out side the studio...

Around 1 plus... 2 people came..... Joe was abit worried about the crowd not coming due to the rain the was forming in the sky..... the Gig was supposed to start at around 2....The first band (hopekilled) came at 2.11.... The rain started..... The crowd started pouring in at When the rain had paused for a while.... When hopekilled performed.... The crowd packing....Until they stand outside...

Then it was Murdered By Ska turn to perform... People keeping coming in.... Joe,Syed and Fir was so overwhelm by the people who came.... Estimation around 100 plus people came to their first gig ever made.....

The crowd started to mosh and having a great time..... Dark Resurrection was up next..... Then every one started to get dressed up.... Mabok and Khairi dressed up as nerd boys... Joe dressed as an old man... Berg wear only boxers.... It was very funny... Izaac have a very smart look......

The moment we entered the room,it was so warm in side b'coz of the body heat..... When we started our first cover song,94 hours,people were moshing their heads out....... The following song was Rise by Bleeding Through.... The whole room of people was moshing.... until zul And sid from Shadows Embrace had to stand on stage with us........ People were all over the place... We even had a feller who headbang infront of Izaac..... People were shouting,demanding us to play Black Lable by Lamb Of God.....

We agreed to play.... We told them to divide themself... Forming a walls of death.... IT WAS THE BIGGEST WALLS OF DEATH WE EVER HAD........

Berg screamed...1....2....3..... The people started to clash with each other Moshing like there was no tomorow....hehe.....It was the biggest Walls of death we had... We were very happy with the crowd and ourself........ We got alot of comment after our set.... And of the comment was good....

Ok Guys.... Sori for the late update.....

The gig emolition was a bloody blast..... But the problem was that the crowd was not that pack..... But aniways.... We really enjoyed alot... Obsuce Phionix was performing with us too......

The thing about that gig was that,form my band onwards,everybody was playing behind time.... The reason was that one of the speakers exploded or sumthing... So we all had to wait for Abang Wan (the owner of I.J studios)to come and replace the new speaker....

This was berg's first time performing alone... And he really proves to the band that he can manage alone....Although he's still abit slow in the timing... but he can manage alone...... Good for him....

Actually our time slot was at around 5 plus... But in the end we performed at around 7 plus at nite.... But we still enjoyed our self there....

Ok guys.... On the 4 June We will be performing again with Shadows Embrace,Rhetorical Theory,Obscure Phionix,Jackalhyde,Death Defyer and many other great bands.....
